BELT STUDS
Suitable for Viking or Medieval
Each belt stud consists of a flower mount and a sprig for attachment, all cast together in one piece.
How to attach: Punch a 2mm round hole through the leather, push the sprig
through,
clip it off
to size and then rivet it flat against the leather with the ball end of a hammer, ensuring that you protect the mount from damage by placing another piece of leather beneath it.
Note: The sprig is now thicker and shorter than the one pictured

COPPER RIVETS
Made from solid copper. A soft metal that is ideal for easy riveting.
Instructions for use of 1/8" domed copper rivet: Make an 1/8" (3mm) hole in the leather using a hole punch. Push the rivet through
the leather so that
the head of the rivet is pressed against the leather. Push the shaft of the rivet through the metal fitting that you want
to attach. Clip off the shaft as close as possible to the fitting using a pair of pliers. Rest the head of the rivet on
a piece of leather placed on an anvil and gently
peen over the other end of the rivet by striking around it repeatedly with the ball end of a hammer.
