Wax writing tablet and wooden stylus. The tablet is made from solid hardwood, beeswax and leather thong. Each tablet is 8x11cm with the wax area being 6x9cm. Use the stylus to write or rub out mistakes. Just heat to melt the wax and re-use the tablet.

Storyteller Adrian Spendlow from York, England tells the story of Sigurd the dragon-slayer and the curse of Andvari's gold.

Adapted from the saga of the Volsungs this is a tale that would have been well known to both Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.

Scenes and characters from this famous story such as Regin the smith and Fafnir the Dragon appear on several runestones and works of art.

The tale was also the main inspiration for Tolkien's 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings'.
