A Viking sword scabbard to carry and protect your Viking sword is an essential piece of kit for any Viking warrior.

Entirely hand made from a single piece of natural veg-tan leather these Viking sword scabbards are available undyed or authentically dyed in the original way using walnut or oak gall to produce brown or black scabbards respectively.

They will fit a blade which is up to 5cm wide at the hilt and up to 30 inches (76cm) long. To begin with the fit will be very tight, but the more you use the scabbard the easier it will be to draw your sword as the leather slowly molds itself to the exact shape of your sword.

* Note! These custom sword scabbards are not available with any additional decoration or fittings. If you require fittings then you will have to fit them yourself. *

Each scabbard has a handy loop for attaching your belt. The loop is an integral part of the scabbard which is created by cutting two slots and then pushing and pressing the slot open while the leather is still wet. This simple and elegant solution ensures that the loop can never come loose...

STANDARD SWORD SCABBARDS

Our old style scabbards, hand made from thick cow hide with sheepskin lining in the mouth to help keep your sword in place. Double stitched by hand with waxed linen thread these scabbards will last a lifetime.

The standard size scabbard fits a sword blade up to 76cm (30 inches) in length and 5cm (2 inches) width at the hilt. They come in ONE SIZE ONLY. If you require this scabbard in a different size then you will have to order one of our customized standard sword scabbards below.

The following are designed to fit a thick leather scabbard.

ADM73A Scabbard mouth with straight top. Made to match the scabbard chape ADM56. Internal dimensions 61mm x 16mm.
