PH1163 Sutton Hoo Helmet

An amazingly accurate replica of the famous Sutton Hoo helmet.
The original was found in a rich boat burial in Sutton Hoo, England and is believed to have belonged to the
7th century Anglo-Saxon king
Redwald.
The stainless steel dome is covered with silver plated embossed steel plates of mounted
Saxon warriors, horned dancers and Anglo-Saxon knotwork.
It is lined with mock suede and has an additional adjustable padded mock suede lining, very comfortable!
The chin strap consists of two leather strips that tie in the middle.
The mouth, moustache, nose, eyebrows and brow ridge are all made up of individually cast pieces of brass and steel. The nose, moustache
and mouth are gold plated. The eyebrows have silver inlay and inlayed red glass squares, they terminate in brass boar's heads.
The face mask, cheek guards, neck guard and dome are all made of steel and edged with brass.
Fits head sizes up to 60cm (Larger if lining is removed).
