PHSH2296 9th Century Viking Sword with damascus steel blade

Viking short sword with damascus steel blade and fittings, comes complete with a leather covered wooden scabbard with metal fittings.

The blade, crossgaurd and pommel are forged from a single piece of folded damasc steel. The scabbard is made from wood, covered in leather with incised designs. The decorated metal fittings include a scabbard chape, scabbard mouth with hanger loops, and a central mount with belt hanger clip on the back.

Blade length 62cm, total sword length 77cm, grip length 9cm, blade width 5cm tapering down to 2.5cm near the tip. Sword weight 1140g.
