BATTLE READY 9TH CENTURY VIKING SWORD

PHSH2409 - Viking sword with spring-steel blade and steel fittings, comes complete with a scabbard with metal fittings.

The blade is made from hardened and tempered spring steel and is suitable for live steel / re-enactment combat, but note that this is a light sword with relatively thin edges. The edges range from 2mm near the hilt to 1mm at the tip and are square-cut. They may not be legal for some re-enactment societies, please check your society rules first.

Crossgaurd and pommel are made from steel. The pommel is of a trilobe design with pepper-pot decoration. The scabbard is covered in black leather and has four steel suspension points with steel fittings and chape.

Blade length 79cm, total sword length 96cm, grip length 104mm, blade width 5cm tapering down to 2.5cm near the tip. Sword weight 1130g.
